Put on your best smile!
The two types of masks on the market are the procedure masks which are also called surgical masks, and the N95 masks which are also called respirators. Procedural masks have three levels of protection designed by ASTM.
We ensure the distribution of medical masks that meet the standards of each country and market in which we do business. Thus, we have chosen quality products for the following standards : ASTM (levels 1, 2 and 3), EN14683 (type IIR) and N95.
What Level of ASTM Protection Is Right For You?
It is essential to choose the right level of mask protection according to your medical requirements and activities.
According to the ASTM (American Society of Testing and Materials), there are three levels of protection (Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3), the first being the lowest and the third the highest. The following table illustrates the different protection criteria.
ASTM Level 1
ASTM Level 2
ASTM Level 3
Bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE)
Particulate filtration efficiency (PFE)
Resistance to blood penetration
@80 mm Hg
@120 mm Hg
@160 mm Hg
Differential pressure (Delta P)
< 4mm H20/cm2
< 5mm H20/cm2
< 5mm H20/cm2
Efficiency of solid aerosol filters (N95 respirators only)
How to wear your mask correctly?
For the mask to provide the user with optimal protection, the user must wear it correctly. To do so, the patient must ensure that there is no gap between his or her face and the mask. In addition, the mask must cover the nose and mouth and extend from the nose to the chin.
Surgical Masks vs N95 Masks
There are two types of medical masks with several differences between them and for different needs. We offer N95 masks, also known as respirator masks, and procedure masks, also known as surgical masks.

Intended use and purpose
This mask can be used when there is a need for fluid resistance, protection against large droplets, splashes and sprays of liquids. This mask also protects patients from respiratory emissions from the wearer of the mask.
This mask can be used when the wearer needs protection from particles and droplets. This mask also protects against aerosol particles (oil-free aerosols only).
Varies according to ASTM level of protection.
This type of mask filters more than 95% of the particles found in the air, offering reliable respiratory protection to users.
Small leaks occur at the edges of the mask when the patient breathes in.
If the mask is worn correctly, there will be very little or no leakage when the patient breathes in.
